What about parents with young children who let their child scream, cry, and throw tantrums in the store while you are trying to pick out socks or something?
What has all this got to do with computers and efficiency experts? well, at the same store, while I was in the checkout aisle, the man behind me decided, that I would not need my cart after I received my groceries, and moved it out of the aisle. I had to tell him in a nice way, "I don't think you want to do that."
He replied, "Oh are you going to need your cart?" I think he was suffering from point and click disease and decided to delete my cart from his view or something.
OMG! I totally agree with you. I truly feel that people think that because they have had sex (and we know how difficult that is to do)and multiplied that somehow gives them more status in the world. They have absolutely no idea that to some of us their children are quite an nuisance and inconvenience-especially on airplanes, in restaurants, and movie theaters. Sometimes I see families coming and do an eyeroll and cross my fingers hoping that they don't come sit near me. Humans have lost their social skills and basic manners-period. I do think it is in part due to a reduction in real interaction (watching TV while sending text messages on your lastest super cell phone do not count as interaction by the way).
ReplyDeleteAnd if you really want to get me started, why in God's good name do people carry their freaking lap tops around? I have been to visit people and other guests bust out the lap top and start doing, whatever it is they do. They can no longer hold conversations, they are attched to those stupid devices like ambilical cords. Anyway-you are right, so right.
